Website personalization is all about creating a website experience that directly relates to the visitor.  This is accomplished by putting the most relevant content front and center for your visitors, which leads to higher engagement and customer conversion.  Your site can be customized by date, time of day, device type, visitor geographic location, number of pervious visits and more to give the best user experience possible.

THE BENEFITS OF WEBSITE PERSONALIZATION
  • Turn visitors in to financial supporters - Organizations that leverage personalized content on their website average a 19% increase in sales/donations.  Personalized call to actions resulted in a 42% higher conversion rate than generic call to actions.
  • Separate your organization from others - Only 29% of all organizations currently implement dynamic web personalization on their website.  40% of users buy more from retailers who personalize their shopping experience across channels.
  • Better overall visitor experience - Dynamic web personalization creates higher engagement to improve the visitor's experience.  Customized content makes live easier for the visitor, and increases trust and loyalty to your organization.

What does your website look like to those trying to reach you on a Smartphone?  Is your website legible?  Can the person using your website on mobile navigate very easily from tab to tab?  It is more important now, more than ever that your customers and "future customers" are able to easily interact with your website on mobile devices.  Consider the following stats when preparing your next marketing campaign.

  •  BIA/Kelsey also found that mobile marketing is a good start for future sales. 73% of mobile searches lead to additional action.

  • Mobile device purchases are on a continual incline.   Nielsen reported that 80% of US mobile subscribers owned smartphones in September 2015, up from 78% in January.

  • Nielsen also reports that  39% of Americans own tablets, up 30% from Q3 2014.

  •   comScore showed mobile commerce is on the rise.  Americans spent $838 million online via mobile devices on Cyber Monday 2015, up 53% year over year.

  • Mobile devices play a significant  part of the growth in social media marketing. A study by Marketo shows  that  60% of all time spent on social media in the US occurs on mobile devices.

It is clear from the few statistics listed that online marketing is "Mobile Marketing".  To leave a mobile strategy out of the equation is to limit your possibilities.

"Oh No! I accidently dropped my phone in a huge puddle!"
"I just bought this copier a couple of years ago and I need a new one!"
"I really like that new slimmer, lighter weight, HD, super electronic and I have to own it - TODAY!"

Whether we need to or not, we are constantly replacing our electronics. The only excuse we need is, “I HAVE to HAVE it!” So what happens to our old electronics? Do we just throw them in the trash? Are they stacked high in our garages or basements? I don’t know about you but I’ve had to replace my laptop at least four times in the last ten years. And, guess where the old laptops go to die? Right… my basement. My annual spring-cleaning spree has prompted me to find out the best way to dispose of my "e-mess".  Properly disposing of e-waste is important for the environment. Computers, printers and cell phones have toxic heavy metals in them like lead and mercury. When they become a part of our household waste they end up in landfills, contaminating our water and soil.

As a company, Every Echo has recently moved away from a litany of different business tools for the wonderful world that is Google Apps for Work. For those of you that aren’t aware, Google Apps for Work is a set of online applications like Google Docs , Calendar and Sheets that allow small businesses to work simultaneously and more efficiently.

One of the best features of Google Apps that has already proved to be advantageous for our company is the Gmail system . The advantage didn’t really come in the Gmail system itself. The benefit that Gmail for Work gave us is its ability to migrate whatever email system you were previously using into Gmail. So, you never lose any conversations, or files that were sent in emails from your prior system. Before Google Apps, our company had a limited amount of storage space on our email database. Months ago, I had to delete hundreds of emails just to allow for new emails to come in. With Gmail, each of us has 30 gb of storage, which is pretty much two 16 gig iPhones worth of storage, to put it in perspective.

Beyond Gmail, Docs, and the incredible seamless Calendar system, the ability to work on any device in any place gives us no reason to not be working. Although it is a small monthly fee per user for us to use Google Apps for Work, it is free for non-profit organizations that apply and are accepted into the Google Apps for Non Profits program. The Non profit Apps program has everything that Google Apps for Work has, plus there is an Ad Grant program that allocates AdWords dollars to select non-profits. I encourage any small business or non-profit that needs organization to either apply or sign up for Google Apps. It makes work with others easy and actually really fun.
